Capriccio is delighted to present acclaimed virtuoso harpsichordist Alberto Busettini in this very special Benefit Soirée, a Capriccio fundraiser offering a full Program of music followed by a complimentary Italian dinner served with exceptional Italian wines.  Alberto performs a Program of J.S. Bach's works showcasing his unparalleled mastery of the densely textured, formal style of the Late German Baroque whilst highlighting his innovative genius and flair.

Italian keyboard artist Alberto Busettini presents this sumptuous, definitively French, Program of works by three generations of the famed Couperin family.  The glorious works of Louis Couperin, François Couperin ('the Great'), and Armand-Louis Couperin reveal the evolving style of the French Baroque from the Early/Mid Baroque, to Late Baroque & Rococo, & early Classical period.

Justin Taylor, first prize winner of the world's most prestigious harpsichord competition at just 23, makes his debut performance in Washington DC with Capriccio.  He performs a thrilling Program that pushes the harpsichord to its very limits with works by father and son Antoine Forqueray & Jean-Baptiste Forqueray; Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, & the thrilling 20th century harpsichord avant-garde work 'Continuum' by Györgi Ligeti. A not-to-be-missed Concert!

Capriccio is delighted to have renowned artist Andrew Appel perform at this very special Benefit Soirée, a Capriccio fundraiser offering a full Program of music followed by a complimentary French dinner with exceptional French & Austrian wines. Andrew performs the exquisite, charming works of François Couperin ('the Great') from the 'Premier livre de piéces de clavecin' followed by a delightful, effervescent, definitively-Classical Sonata by Joseph Haydn.

Colin Booth, acclaimed English early keyboardist and keyboard builder/restorer, makes his Washington DC debut performing works by two titans of the English Early Baroque: William Byrd, a composer of extraordinary ability central in developing an English national style; & Peter Philips, a gifted and prolific composer little-heard in the U.S.   Explore the English Early Baroque repertory with a master of the genre! Meet the artist over a complimentary light buffet offered from 6:15pm. The Concert commences at 7:30pm.

Colin Booth's second concert with Capriccio is a delightful exploration of a musical form, the Ground, which was immensely popular in the 17th century. A Ground is a set of variations built around a repeated base line which may comprise just a few notes. Revel in the lovely & diverse melodies of English 17th century Grounds with works by William Byrd, William Inglot, Orlando Gibbons, Henry Purcell, John Blow & William Croft.

Aya Hamada, renowned for her graceful and virtuosic style, is steeped in the music of the French Late Baroque &  Galante. This is sumptuous, velveteen music with embroidered counterpoint & gorgeous melodic lines.  Prepare to be entranced with this Program of works by Jacques Duphly, Jean-Philippe Rameau & Bernard de Bury performed by this most accomplished artist.
